Meet the Team

Deepings Community Library is the heart of the community and represents the best that can be offered by a community run library. Our army of enthusiastic volunteers headed up by Louisa and Jo make sure that the Library has something to offer everyone – come down and see for yourself!

Louisa (Part Time)

I’ve been a Deepinite (one who lives in Deeping) for over ten years! My family have always enjoyed visiting the library. I have been working for the library since its reopening in 2016.

What I love about the library: I love the library, it’s not just the library, its part of the community.  We constantly have a stream of happy and friendly people coming through the door which is why we enjoy working here.

My Favourite book: Little Women. I love this book as it was a book that was read to me by my mother and now I read it to my kids, it’s kind of become a tradition! My favourite quote would be “Christmas won’t be Christmas without any presents.”

We are a lively and creative team here – come and see what’s on offer!

Children and books are what its all about, everyone is welcome in our library, and no-one is too young to join!

Reading Lincs

Reading Lincs is a project between three local primary schools encouraging parental engagement, supporting reluctant readers and providing a greater depth to reading for those already proficient.

The schools that are taking part in the initiative are Market Deeping Community School, Baston C of E School and Deeping St James Primary School.
