Deepings Community Library is the heart of the community and represents the best that can be offered by a community run library. Our army of enthusiastic volunteers headed up by Tui and Jo make sure that the Library has something to offer everyone – come down and see for yourself!
I’ve lived in Market Deeping for 5 years and have always enjoyed visiting the library. My role is to manage the day to day running of the library and our wonderful team of dedicated volunteers.
What I love about Deepings library: The library is a welcoming and friendly place to be and is loved by the local community who make good use of it. The variety of events we hold make it an interesting library to visit and hearing such positive comments from the public make all of the effort worthwhile.
My Favourite book: I always gravitate towards crime authors and especially love Patricia Cornwall for creating such complex characters and absorbing stories. However, a favourite from my childhood would be ‘The Magic Faraway Tree’ by Enid Blyton. I loved losing myself in her books.
I have been passionate about libraries and literature my whole life. I’m committed to making Deeping Library a place for all to enjoy. I have a great appreciation for what the library does for the local community, and I hope that my enthusiasm for this will also come across in person!
What I love about Deepings library: Everything. The people you get to engage with daily are refreshing and great to speak to! I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.
My Favourite book: A town like Allice. I love the romance surrounded by the story, the triumph and tribulations Alice faces to get her little community thriving in post war Australia.
