When does the library open?

The library is open on the following days:

Monday to Wednesday from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm

Thursday – Closed

Friday – 10:00am – 5:00pm

Saturday – 10:00am – 3:00pm

What events are on at the library?

We have a wide range of events running throughout the year. To keep up to date with the latest events please visit our events page or follow us on facebook.

Who runs the library?

The day to day running of the library is managed by Library Coordinator, Louisa and Assistant Library Coordinator Jo and a whole army of volunteers. These are supported by the Friends of Deeping Library Committee. 

How do I join the library?

Simply pop in during opening hours with a form of i.d. including your address, and we’ll sort it for you.

I am interested in volunteering in the library?

Do we have printing or scanning services?

Yes, we do! We print and photo copy up to A3. We also offer the amazing service to be able to print from phone.   You can scan documents to a memory stick (we sell these for £3 if you don’t have your own)  Printing and photocopying prices are:

A4 Black and White 10p

A4 colour 25p

A3 black and white 20p

A3 colour 50p

These prices are per side, not per piece of paper.

How do I return a book?

We have a letter box located on the front door leading into the library when we are closed. Our self-service machines also allow you to return a book hassle free .

What if I'm late with a book?

You can renew your late book online up to 6 times. https://www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/libraries-archives/renew-reserve-books

Can I access Library Books Online?

Yes. You can access EBooks via the Libby App and Audio Digital Books Via the ULibrary App.  You’ll need your library card number and four digit PIN. (If you have neither of these please telephone the Library Customer Service Centre in Lincoln on 01522 782010 (mon-fri 8-5pm) and they’ll be able to assist.   

Libby App

You can read books online or via an app on your tablet/smartphone/ereader (some Ereaders will require Adobe digital editions software).

Steps to follow:

  • Download the free Libby app or Overdrive app from the App store or Play store (see comparison of apps below and choose the right one for you).
  • Add your library search for ‘Lincolnshire’
  • Enter library card number and PIN
  • Borrow an e-Book.

For E-Audio Books Download the uLibrary app available free of charge from Apple’s App Store and the Google Play Store. Select GLL-Lincolnshire from the list of libraries and log in with your Library Card and PIN.

 

 

 

 

Making a complaint?

Speak to a member of staff they can help to resolve any issues you may have.  

Will I be taught how to use the self-service process?

The machines are clearly labelled, but we understand how daunting new things can be. So, we’ll have staff members on hand when you’re in trouble. 

Kids Zone

Children and books are what it’s all about.
Everyone is welcome in our library and no one is too young to join!

You can look at and borrow books, find out information and use library computers all for free. Our library’s also offer free activities for children throughout the year. Come and visit us and see our exciting range of children’s books and activities on offer.

Teen Zone

Joining the Teenage Zone is free. If you are aged 12 or above and live in the Deepings area, then you can join as a member of the library using a proof of identity.

Our library has a teen area where you can really chill out and relax, learn and enjoy our teen zone that is especially designed by teenagers for teenagers.

Adults

Learn about our regular programmes, events and activities for adults in the Deepings area. Our library boasts a fully-stocked library of treasures for both adults and young adults covering all manner of books across a wide spectrum.

Reading Lincs

Reading Lincs is a project between three local primary schools encouraging parental engagement, supporting reluctant readers and providing a greater depth to reading for those already proficient.

The schools that are taking part in the initiative are Market Deeping Community School, Baston C of E School and Deeping St James Primary School.
